i ask everyone this...

why do you want a civic rad? do you need the space for a bigger turbo? or just because you think "its in" and the thing to do?

are you running a ct9?

because my current rad is leaking and has been rad welded, so i could do with replacing it.

a few of the manifolds i have looked at need more space than the current aircon/rad combo provide.

so i am planning to remove aircon, and go half size rad

the long term plan (by the end of this year) is to go for a bigger turbo yes :p

now back to the original question, is that the rad i need?

right. basically by using a civic rad your halfing your cooling efficency... which is not good, your fan will be on all the time :/

having a rad half the size just to free up space is a silly reason dude! :p id only recommend it if u NEED the space for bigger turbo!

so to counteract, get an alloy version of the civic rad, defo do this if your planning bigger turbo...

I thought because the Civic ones were twin core (the starlet ones only being single), that also helped to balance it out?

well, im freeing the space up, planning to fill it haha.

do a search bunch of buy it nows on there!

JD Tuning do a fantastic kit to mount a civic rad perfectly on a ep82 or ep91!

ull need a a/c fan or other slimeline fan to replace the bulky stock fan!

i have a JD tuning kit

and i have a civic rad + fan already

jsut the fins are a bit knackered in the one i have, so i will use the new core, with the old fan.

and the kit i have

If you're referring to the dual core Civic rad then this is totally wrong, try one and see how it works. I had one on my old GT and it was perfect.
