Hello all

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section.

If i fit a UK head unit into the a japanese import car using the relevant ISO adapter, would the head unit need grounding.

The existing jap head unit in the car seems to be grounded where there is a black wire going down, however if i just fit a new stereo would it still need grounding or do one of the wires in the loom (most likely black) provide sufficient grounding when it is connected?

Just need to make sure as don't want anything blowing or carrying out irrelevant grounding work by having to cut wires.

Many thanks

hi mate

what about the grounding, or is that done through the loom? Do you have a black wire going down to a earthing point?

thanks

You write that on each thread, of course it's in the wrong section. It's so easy to identify where it needs to be posted, click on the Technical forum then choose the sub category.
