Hi guys started getting smoke coming from the back of the car (white/grey) but it only happens when

A) gave it some and sit with the engine ticking over go to pull off and theres a nice big cloud of smoke for about minute then goes.

B ) Steady driving sitting there with the engine ticking over say 3-4minutes not touching the throttle next minute smoke starts coming out of the exhaust.

Never happens on start up from cold, only warm.

There the only times i really notice it the other day when i started it and my friend gave it a rev there was a fair bit of water sitting in the backbox tailpipe, and everytime my mate gave it a rev it would splatter out on the floor. This was after being for a 20minute drive and left standing for about 3-4hours. Dont think its head gasket as theres no gunk on the oil cap and the coolant is still red in colour not oil looking.

Had a compression test done at my mates garage he said the gauge wasnt calibrated so cant give the most accurate reading but recieved 120psi across all four cylinders it was cold been standing for about 45minutes before he did the comp test.

Just need a bit of advice on what else to check, i cleaned the pcv valve that was blocked now flows freely seemed to help a bit as the smoke isnt as thick but still there i did break the gromet so its been held in by silicon atm if that makes a different haha.

The smoke does smell of fuel, I've noticed the fuel drop a bit but thought that was due to having a full exhaust fitted. Will have a check of the lamba sensor cheers mate.

Any other ideas people, or how i can check the valve steam oil seals just to be sure its not them?

Still got the top mount on, i was thinking it was the turbo seals. How else can i check if it is them?

It would be the same mate, pull off your hotside pipe and see if theres oil in it bud. If you're getting white and blue smoke and your compression test is showing the same across all four cylinders, its likely your oil seals buddy.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought all turbo cars get a small amount of oil in the intercooler?

They do, but its more a residue than ponding. If your seals are gone then theres likely to be a significant amount of oil, you could almost pour it out of my fmic when my ct9 went many moons ago.

Sounds like the oil seals on your turbo personally mate; have you got a front mount? If so, pull off the hot side pipe where it goes in to the fmic and see if theres oil in it.

thats only if the oil seal on the comp. side of the turbo is fooked, and it it was, it wouldnt make it smoke out the exhaust, as the oil wouldnt be getting anywhere near it..it just collects in the ic pipe..

whip your decat off and see if theres any oil there..could also be rings, stem seals, pcv valve etc..try and have a look at the back of ya tub, and do a compression test so you may be able to rule out a few things.

I cleaned the pcv valve and that has seemed to help but i did break the gromet so its been siliconed in atm if that will make a difference.

When i took the top mount of it seemed pretty clean inside, I've got a cat on atm could i still check in there if theres oil?
