stavros
Fuel filter pherhaps? I had a similar thing on a previous car. Just a thought
hill_bill10
it either sounds more like a timiing issue or choke issue maybe? checck all your vac hoses are still on and ok and then id suggest checking the timing belt and seeing if its still timed up correctly
GreaseMonkey
Hi there, just a thought but, Just a few things to check going by the symptoms you've reported. (P.s AT YOUR OWN RISK, so if what I suggest goes wrong, don't blame me lol!.) Any DTC's ( Engine warning light/ Engine Codes ) From experience and the Toyota manual, poss causes and to check the following under the following symptoms, the same 1st thing to check occurs, and from what you wrote " Filled up last night" looks plausible you might have dodgy or contaminated fuel?Symptoms:Difficult to Start/ Normal Condition.Poor Idling / Rough Idle/ Misfire.Poor Driveability/ Knocking.Engine Stall Soon after Starting. (All point to for first check)1. Fuel Quality.Other things I would be checking, not in any particular order but preference imo :Electrical Plugs & Connectors behind Glove Box & in Engine bay15A EFI Fuse & EFI Relay15A AM1 Fuse Spark PlugsValve Timing (Cam Timing Belt)Temp sensorDistributor/ Igniter assy.Hope this helps. Cheers, Greasemonkey.

yaristurbo
Just had a thought, micras after short journeys flood, I know it's not a micra but worth checking, either remove the fuel pump fuse or clamp off the injector feed fuel line and crank it over for a few times. Do this with plugs out or in, more effective with them out . Get it put back together and try and start it
