jdm-andy
what boost is ep82 ct9 supposed to run standard? i have a feeling that its underboosting since i put the boost gauge on.I used to see the needle on the standard boost gauge go right to the last line, and now stops at the line before, according to the boost gauge its 9psi?is this right? it boosts the same on low boost as it did before. So i dont think its a boost leak.
mech5107
I think that 10 or 11psi is the correct boost.

jdm-andy
Can I run 11 or 12 with a manual boost controller safely?
lukEp
yes you just have to watch for boost creep to reduce the risk port the waste gate hole
jdm-andy
Port the wastegate?
lukEp
Ct9s have a really small penny (wastegate flap) and when you try to push to much boost through them they can't flow fast enough causing boost to increase even more. I used to set mine at 10psi and it used to creep to 12. I got a drimel and opened the hole up by a few mm and it didn't creep anymore so set it to 12psi and it stayed there.
