in car recording equipment

ok i plan on competing in one round of the time attack series this year at knockhill, weather it happens or not is another matter but in my head i want to give it a bash after bein apraoched by the dude who organised it at jae stating that we need some eps in the fwd class as they are all dominated by hondas,

anyways im interested in some camera equipment to video

1. my feet
   
2. the dials
   
3. the view to the outside prefrably from behind the driver
   

does anyone have a scooby what type of set up or configoration i would need

ive done a search online but only really looked into single camera units

eg what i would use to record these three external feeds, also editing software etc,

probably wont get any help here but any info is welcome

Have you seen Toby's camera stuff that he sell's on tgtt, Bullet cams or something?

Would be interesting to see how your car performs in the time attack competitions against the other cars, one of my mates used to do it in his gtti.

Sounds like a blast and would love to see some footage of the Jam beast taking on teh Hondas ;)

Best bet is to have a word with Toby about those dog cams and see if you can get to play three of them in sink and edit it all together at the end.

dosent clear up the problem of multi feeds but toby did say something about fiming four at once, thanx for bein kind enuf to find those posts for me

I'm pretty sure (unless you've got some dory of semi-pro/pro recording equipment) you'll need a seperate recorder for each feed.

Unless you fed the signals into some sort of car PC??

Type this item number in ebay mate 150103390722, you should be able to link it up with an mp4 player to record the images onto. If not do a search under spy cameras i have seen systems on there before from japan which have 4 wireless cameras and the mp4 recorder for about £199. hope this helps

2nd hand laptop and hook up some dv cams to it.. then it will play in real time whilst recording.. also use the laptop to view datalogging etc too

Can always mount a bullet cam to your roll cage for that behind the driver view.

just purchased exactly everything im after to make my own hot version videos lol

all i need now is a c pillar bar,

for two months im subjected to driving the most crazyest 17miles of tarmac twice a day that snakes through these hills we sheep all over the road,
