how much boost / bhp can the standerd intercooler take?

just wondering if its okay to run 1 bar of boost on my hybrid with a standerd intercooler as im taking mine off to be cleaned up , any while im doing this im upping the boost to 1 bar

any feedback will be great!

Yeah it should be ok if ya dont kick its head in!! But obviously if ya do then you would be asking for trubble the heat these 1.3's kick out when on full boost is unreal!! so just take ya time, plod about lol

P.s i would just sort change ect look at the boost gauge when it hits 0.8 or so change gear!

I personally wouldnt mate. Especially given how cheap you can pick up a second hand fmic or rx-7 tmic.

Yes i think your car would suffer from detonation using the standard unit, the more boost you run on the ct9 the hotter it blows!!

so keep boost low ? 0.8 be okay? if not 0.5????

it would be only for about 3 months and the 2 would be only ran at 0.5 lol so may aswell just keep it at 0.5 till i get it all set up again properly

On 0.8bar when I fitted my ECU and exhaust, my car would literally not pick up in 3rd gear onwards lol
