KarlosOvCumbria
Before i start I did do a search but the 2 topics it came up with were no good. Just to make sure (because I'm doing a oil change next week) what's the best oil to use for my 97' Glanza TURBO. And how much does it take to fill from empty? Cheers, Karl. Cheers, Karl.as in brand of oil? or weight ? off the top of my head i think its about 3.5 litres of oil from an empty sump.. i "think"i run 10-40 in mine.. fully syn.millers is the only stuff i use mate. best out there in my opinion
NeilH
just put a good quality 10/40 semi synthetic in there.
KarlosOvCumbria
This is what I mean, so many people put different answers. One says Fully while the other says semi! I've gathered fully is better, but people seem to use any old shi*e! lol. I think I'll go for 10w40 Fully syn. So is 3.5 ltrs about right?
Glanza_Ragger
semi is fine to use mate. fully is really only a MUST if you have a brand new engine..i prefer the best oil i can get though.. seeing as thats the lubricant for the internals.alot of people will say fully syn isnt good for our age engines.. but i prefer fully. something like castrol semi syn is fine etc..im saying 3.5 because im sure i get a bit left over from a 4litre can. dont hold it against me though if its more lol

Toby@ToyTuning.com
A 10w 40 semi good quality oil will be fine with regular changes. Oil technology has come a long way in the past 20 years. We run the same Shell Helix 10w 40 semi in our 300bhp GT demo car and 70bhp run around Starlet.Kind Regards,Toby@ Toy Tuning
lobotomy
I use semi-synthetic 10W-40 and change my oil and filter every 3000mi -- Better than waiting longer and using fully synthetic in my opinion.
beatz
also use 10w40, i found that castrol is shite and makes the car smoke as its too thin
