i sold some headlights to a guy the other day, he was a pain from the start, pestering to get them sent. (which i couldnt do on a sunday)

they were in mint condition when they left me and now a bracket is broken. he wants half the value back but im not convinced they are damaged now.

he crashed his car and needed lights asap. ive offered a part refund as a guester of good will, but hes declined.

what would you guys do...

Tell him to return them to you and you will refund his costs, but warn him that you have marked them to ensure they were the ones sent

Just tell him to package them back up and you arrange a courier to collect. Then when you get back, if they are not yours you should be able to tell as you said they were mint. They should still be mint but with a broken bracket

Then assess when you have them back if you want to claim through courier that you sent with. Did you use a courier?

royal mail. :) was quicker and easier, as he was being such a pain in the arse. had text me 3 times monday saying are they sent yet. just the sort of person you dont really wanna deal with. but as im braking my car all parts need to go

Have them back fully and then check and refund. Tell him u won't refund until you've had them back. If not partial refund to fix ....... Ie. To buy some alraldite etc etc
