rinseep82 Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 wet n dry it mate finest paper u can find and re spray but spray at a further distance dude reduces streaking Quote
ollie ryan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 sounds like you have poor paint coverage mate and the streaky bits are drypaint, there isnt enough paint in those places Quote
GT Phayer Posted September 25, 2011 Author Posted September 25, 2011 oh right il try get a picture but its abit hard to see lol all the other bits i sprayed have come out mint must be because of the size of the panel i guess Quote
GT Phayer Posted September 25, 2011 Author Posted September 25, 2011 sorry about the quality of the picture its the best i could get. Quote
ollie ryan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 yeah thats uneven paint coverage mate, you need to keep the canthe same distance away from the panel all the time, if you get close to it then further away you will get the streaky finishalso what aresole you using? some cheap cans dont give good enough coverage Quote
Gainzy Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 flatten it again with 600 wet, you will be better doing it with a spray gun, don't put it up against something neither or gravity will just pull it all over, get some sort of tressel, if your going to use a can heat it up a little bit, will get a better finish. Starlet__SR Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Also, check that the nozzle has a decent fan coverage, ones with a too small coverage wont help with streakingD Quote

GT Phayer Posted September 25, 2011 Author Posted September 25, 2011 ok il try these things hopefuly dont have this problem with the rest of the car Quote
Gainzy Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 tack cloth would'nt go a miss neither just wet flat 600, warm the can up always keep the can the same distance 50 50 overlap, leave it to dry 5 mins or so just build up your coats till your happy, it may look different inside cause of the light, ideally you want natural light, hope this helps Quote
GT Phayer Posted September 25, 2011 Author Posted September 25, 2011 thanks mate fingers crossed it turns out ok Quote
