Hello all,

just a quick question dunno if anyone on here will be able to awnser.

im thinking of buying a few cheap cars to sell on to hopefully make a bit of extra cash.

now ive owned alot of cars so am familiar with the process im just wondering if there is any way i can buy a car then re-sell it without me being the an owner on the log book. Wanting to do this for 2 reasons, first is when i buy the car i wanna re-sell straight away rather then waiting for hte log book to come back in the post in my name and i dont want to add a owner to the history,

any help appreciated

thanks

As above, you can fill the trade slip out and leave that yellow slip with the previous owner to send to the DVLA (after you fill it in of course) and you keep the full logbook.

If you want to do it avoiding fees etc then when you buy the car just get them to sign the red box at the bottom and then when you sell it just fill in the rest and date it

That's why you make your own receipt sort of thing where the buyer has to sign and write the date and time of purchase so that you have something to tale to court if needs be :)
