lobotomy
I had a quick scan through my Glanza manual mate - However not being able to read Japanese, I can really make out what info exactly this table is giving??I was assuming the first column is for the front springs and the second for rear springs?? One thing that makes me wonder is that the data appears to vary with tyre size and not what model of car it is? Also the units are kg/cm2 whereas spring rates are usually measure in kg/mm lbs/ft not ft2/mm2I don't know mate... not sure
Fogdoggydog
They are the tyre pressureskg/cm2 is the metric equivalent of lb/in2 (or psi)I don't think I've ever seen spring rate figures in owner manuals?
SiCaln
yea i thought the same mate
lobotomy
Yeah -- you're right, never clicked actually doh! Yeah and 2.1kg/cm2 is ~30psi so that's about right!
Guest Enzo
lol good stab at it mate, think this information will be thin on the ground unless i could find some obsesed starlet man in japan that just happens to speak english hehe.....
ecksjay
out of interest, why do you want to know the standard spring rates????wouldn't wanna cut them due to danger, and they're stupid high anyway, so i cant think of why you'd want/need to know that, unless you're creating some sort of.......starlet encyclopedia???
