Braided Brake Lines

Hey guys, getting some help to change my brake lines on sat -- was just wondering how the braided set changes the rear 4 lines into just 2 lines? Can anyone clear this up for me?

Lobo from what I know, its 4 rear lines for the back, 2 normal rear and an extra 2 if using abs.

You'll need someone who has done it to confirm that. I recommend you ask Starlet_Nath as he is in the know and will confirm you will need 6 if using with rear abs.

Here's my rears:

I have 2 on rear, one for each drum. You'll see kits like APP and ZEP has sets of 4 & 6.

My black diamond set was a set of 6 also so it figures.

Ah -- Well I've got ABS. But my braided lines kit only consist of 4 hoses -- 2 front and 2 rear (I assume)

So will I only replace 2 of the 4 rear lines in actual fact?

Yes mate, you'll only be replacing the normal rears and not the abs ones.

I recommend you pm starlet nath and get things cleared up.

I've done it a few times, yea just use the longer hoses at the back and substitute the 2 for one

The one new hose at the rear replaces 2 rubber hoses and a short metal pipe. Thats if its my hoses ;)

Yeah my mate who's showing me what to do says it's similar for the ST185 GT4 when changing to braided lines, so I should hopefully be ok.

I'll let you know how it goes though
