lilryan Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 can you run the tdo4l turbo on its internal waste gate with an adjustable actuator on it .but will it fitt behind a standard size rad with that set up and can you run the turbo with out management say with a rrfpr and ajustin the fuel and keeping the boost to say maybe between 8 and 10 psi . ive just been pondering on it as ive got a turbo off my old scooby track car and was going to get a manifold and down pipe but i dont have anuf money to get an ecu yet. or could you maybe run it with say blitz ecu maybe . any advice would be appreciated and its just a thought as ive been sitting there staring and the turbo all mornin goin ummm ummm ummm i duno so thought id post on he and see if anyone can help with my ponder cheers guys . _shaun_ Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 u can run the td04 with its internal wastegate but it depends on what manifold u get as to weather it can be used with the stock rad. at minimum u will need a rrfpr and a fcd with a shot of a wideband to make sure its running ok. i ran mine with a blitz ecu to start and went fine but get alot more power out of it with the emu i have atm Quote Link to post Share on other sites

5T4R7ET N/A Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 If i was you i would just wait until you got everything you need for the setup. managment, boost controller, adjustable actuator, half radiator..... the lot.i have seen people do it the rrfpr way, but its a gamble. if you get it wrong thats your engine gone. lilryan Posted March 11, 2012 Author Share Posted March 11, 2012 yer know what you mean dude .was just an idea as the turbo was on the self in me room staring at my while playing pro evo scoccer this morning . misses keeps moaning at me to but it in the garage with my scooby seats but the seats are good for ps3 and i told her the turbo will get cold in the garage .women just dont understand the rule's sometimes .wait till she come's home one day and ive got parts in the dish washer that'll please her .built my redtop engine in the front room while watching footie other year she came home earlyer from holiday with mates she went nuts made a mess of her coffie tabel and screwed the carpet with the engine stand .my bad lol it was cold in the garage with no tv and thats just not cricket Quote Link to post Share on other sites
