kingo228
these are the cheapest forged rods i can find, they look okay from pictures and seen to talk the talk but has anyone used them ?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Conrods-Toyota-4EFTE-1-3L-H-beam-connecting-rods-rods-/150530055467?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230c4a5d2b#ht_1508wt_1270
Idrees
I was very close to trading with the manufacturer of those rods but didn't bother because they didn't seem keen to let me test them on my car.
kingo228
ah right , just trying to get a decent set of rods for cheap as possible , would them rods be okay to use with standard pistons ?
_shaun_
if i were u id spend a bit more and get a decent brand or atleast some proven good feedback. they will only be a cheap set of rods if they stand up to the job if they end up failing it will end up costing u far more. buy cheap buy twice as the saying goes
kingo228
cant find and reasonable prices forged rods, i know there not cheap but dont want to be paying silly money
MARC MOSS
they are rated to a 1000bhp dude! just remember if you are going for more than 900bhp you will need a set of arp L-19 Bolts ok lol.Personally if your gonna forge, spend a little more.....
Ryan-11
ah right , just trying to get a decent set of rods for cheap as possible , would them rods be okay to use with standard pistons ?Go for a set that have been tryed and tested, scat, pec, ect. also your just aswell putting in a set of forged pistons to go with the conrods. _shaun_
down to you mate but there £320 from hongkong and u might get hit by import tax. theres no feedback about them or the company and there claims about what they can stand is highly unlikely.drop idrees a pm and ask him for a price on a set of pec rods look at the price diffrence and ask urself its its worth risking your engine going bang and the time and money it will take to sort it out if it does. and rember import tax is 20%+ so u migt end up paying more for these unherd of rods than a set of tryed and tested pec rods from iddy
MARC MOSS
yea if you only spend out on a rod job its fine but then you will need a good map which means spending out on good management instead! dont go for the cheap option it'll end up costing you more
