jimmymac101
thats about right mate i was 19 when i got my na and im paying 2800 '0ncb'i know a glanza owner who was in the same situation, same age same ncb as you and he was paying around 2500-2700 save the pennys drive sensible so the piggys dont pop the bonnet on the sleeper and wait a year i think

AdamB
Glanza's are much more expensive to insure than GT's, thats probably about the going rate for a glanza.
scottyb
i was £700 at 19 with 3 points but thats because i switched from my old 1.2 clio i think.come renewal at 20 i was quoted about £1800 for fully comp. Was £1200 tpft with 3 years ncb and 3 points from sky insurance.now £600 at 21 with 4 years ncb, Fully comp, protected ncb etc with aviva. shorty
You better hope you dont stack it if your not to declare the swap as your car wont be covered!! No offence but its lads like you who get cuaght out by the system who the drive insurance prices up!!! You are basicaly driving uninsured every where you go!. But hey who cares if you kill some one or destroy there pride and joy when you smash into it at speed. you have a sleeper on the cheap maybe its because im old but i can never EVER remeber insuring a car i didnt declare the mods on. and if it was too expensive i didnt mod it!! Your not insuring you shiney crap under the bonnet your insuring the lifes and possesions of others who travel with you or others you my effect in an accident!!!! R34GTt
I'm paying £1100 on my Glanza at 25 with 8 years NCB, no points, no convictions with protected NCB fully comp all modifications decleared which is £200 more expensive than my old Skyline was!It seems the insurance on these isn't cheap, although where you live obviously pays a big part in it. Azz
HOW? Very true, but i think its you being old ;)HOW? Very true, but i think its you being old ;)I would love to know, its kept on a locked drive and a full alarm system and putting a parent on as a second driver brings it down, also if you put your voluntry excess up you insurance comes down as most on here would re-build there car instead of claming (i would anyway)hope this helps fellas
shorty
Thats the thing not many people think of it like that till its put a bit more black and white! insurance doesnt just cover your arse it covers other road users too!! And just to rub salt in it my old v was 730 fully comp and if you have seen my build thread on it it was insanley modded. and yes everything declared even the specifics of the internals of the engine! My ep 85 is 100 quid more though with less mods but not many less ;) insurace companys do need to wise up tbh. yes a starlet has potential and yes they are quick but when you can insure modded skylines and supras for less surley something isnt quite in order!! pockrockgtti
When i got my V at 21 3yr ncb i was paying £420 with NFU Mutual fully comp. Now at 25 with 7 years ncb, forged 5e and all sorts of other goodies i pay £780!
