Ste B
Said i'd throw up a project thread here. It's not all that spectacular and there's quite a lot of new things in the car that I haven't photographed yet. But i'll put up what I have and take some new pictures over the next few days of some of the newer features. Here's how I got the car :There was green slime and mould all over the car from it lying up so long.As you can see it had a kickass set of wheels on it, not !!If you thought the car was in a bad way outside, you aint seen nothing yet !!!First thing I did with the car was grab my socket set and start taking the interior out.One side hoovered.Myself working awayI then got the lend of an industrial carpet cleaner and did my seats and carpet. One very persistant stain on the back passenger carpet wouldn't go fully, but it's nearly gone now.My mother went mad at me when she came home to find the interior of my car drying by the radiators in the sitting room hahaGave the outside of the car a quick wash while the interior was drying. Then got the interior back into the car.Car was clean for one day, until I came home from college and found the council had dug up the pavement outside and left my car in a cloud of dust.To say I was annoyed at them would be an understatement !Next little job to fix was my speedo, it wouldn't work and it was stuck at 100 kmh constantlyTurned out to be the speedo cable not connected up correctly and a very small pin slightly bent in my speedo clock which had cause it to stick. Very easy fix Next turned my attention to the engine bay. There was wiring all over the place, bits pulled out of the fuse-board every where and it was a general mess.Wasn't too concerned about looks though as function was more important. The previous owner had only just put a brand new head-gasket on the car as it had previously over-heated. He evidently never flushed the rad though as this is what I removed from it.I flushed the coolant system out with rad flush and put some new coolant in the car. I fired the car up and realised very quickly there was no coolant circulating. My first thought was thermostat ! Went out and bought one, opened up the housing and to my surprise there was nothing inside it. I knew this wasn't good, as it wasn't the thermostat at fault. Next I turned my attention to the water pump and this is what I removed. Not a single fin left on the water pump !I got a new water pump, installed that and flushed the entire system out again and all was well.Once the engine was running ok, I went out and bought 2 new belts for it, fresh oil and filter, a k&n induction kit, and some iridium tip plugs.I really hated the steel wheels on the car so my next purchase was these. Two of the tyres were worn badly enough, so I got 4 brand new tyres put on them and got a set of blue titan wheel nuts to put them on the car with.I also picked up this Autobahn88 front mount intercooler kit for an absolute bargain of €100 (£80)There was also a full aftermarket exhaust system on the car when I got it.I haven't got a picture off hand, but it polished up very well in comparison to the above picture. The car also had a hideous fly-off handbrake, dunno why anyone would put one in a FWD carI changed this out for a standard hand-brake.The car also had a momo steering wheel which I love. It cleaned up very well in comparison to the picture aswell. It also had the original gt strut bar in the boot of the car too. I'll update the thread a little later with some pictures of how the car looks closer to now.

It was left lying up cause the guy that owned it bought a limited edition gt4 celica and he simply lost interest in the car. Was lying up for over a year in total. Ye some amount of muck in it !
