I finished installing my fmic today, and had to extend the vac line to the new position, I also had to temporarily mesh the turbo until my filter pipe turns up, but now there isn't usually a dump like before, more often is a very loud chatter sound, any idea why?

first off. chatter is just win... better! :)

What DV have you got? If its adjustable... It sounds like its set too tight! Isnt functioning!

The chatter is the exact noise u will get with No DV...

Haha it is nice but I like the ssqv noise :/

And it's a non adjustable ssqv mate, the piston does

Dump if I look in the bay an does dump sometimes it just seems to be drowned out by the chatter, maybe it's the meshed turbo and will go back to normal once my front filter arrives?

Do you run with no bov then?

Also, I dunno if its related to me having a top mount but I noticed my

Ssqv is a longer chirp than every other starlet I've heard with ssqvs they had the nice short chirp, even replica ones, whereas mines a bit longer like a standard dv just higher pitched :/

Sorry bout the spam. But i have all standard TMIC just now and standard pipes what should i use to block off the BOV pipe as i have a Baileys DV and as commonly known their shit lol.

Some people use a coin super glued on, I made a little blanking plate out of a flat piece of metal, siliconed and screwed it down using the existing hole mate

Lol my pals skyline has a japanese sprite bottle cap over it just thought there might have been a better way. What happens with the vacuum pipe? Jus put the boost gauge pipe straight onto the manifold?

I can send you my little plate I

Made if that's any better lol?

And how do you mean? The baileys should use the original record valves vac line, and put a breather filter onto the rocker cover, then if you've got a boost gauge tee it off from the boost pressure sensor or something mate

you will always get some chatter no matter what bov your running especially if the turbo is meshed... is your vac source to the bov direct to the inlet or are you running a boost gauge vac line of it as well?? may be worth trying a direct vac feed from the inlet if so.. a relocated filter will help also..

Nah it's direct to the inlet Mani mate using the original source, boost gauge is teed off the little sensor on the bulkhead?

An yeah my filter kit should be fitted soon so I'll see what it's like then :)

It still sounded different on a standard tmic and filter setup to the other ssqvs I've heard even replicas, mines a longer chirp than other ones I've heard for some reason, weird
