Weyro
Absolutely gutted , was driving along a road in Glasgow behind St Enoch, when bang! Smacked a massive pothole/sunken drain. On my way home the front and back left were rattling and banging like mad, and when I went back down to the car 10 mins later the front tyre had deflated.I'm guessing the shocks and strut mounts will be knackered. lugzy clart
your shocks n strut mounts might be ok mate just check nothing looks bent compared to the other side, and look for any cracks any where. Then get 2 knew tyres n laser tracking done to check the allinement and any buckels in the wheels and hopefully u might be lucky to get away with just a blown tyrebest of lucklugzy
LukeSR
Should of stopped when it happend.. Got out and took a few pictures and put a claim in to the council! Roads are SHIT around here!
Weyro
If its just a tyre I'll leave it. But if I need new suspension how do I go about making a claim?
bucketep91
If people did that in glasgow everytime they hit a pothole the city would come to a standstill. Glasgow is just 1 big pothole:))
bucketep91
Wouldnt bother with a claim they wont pay out. Doubt you will have done any damage tbh i dented 2 wheels on a pothole and never broke anything else.
morgey
If its the same in scotland as it is in england the pothole has to have been reported befor by someone else and had to be over either 4 or 6" deep to even stand a claim unfortunately Best of luck tho dude hope its nowt major, I hit a drainage ditch in my car and got away without a problem!
