Jordk
What work is best to get done on the crank before rebuilding the bottom end? I looked into regrinding the crank and micro polishing and knife edging etc. I'm looking to run about 300bhp with the set up I'm going for. The crank is out of an engine with 70kmiles that had a burnt piston ring and was running lean for a good few months. What is recommended work for a fairly good condition crank? Idrees
If it doesn't need grinding it then don't get it ground, just have it micro polished mate.
H_D
you dont need to knifedge for 300bhp - just make sure you get it balanced and like idrees said dont grind it unless if its required
