Car juddering when pulling off!!!!!?????

Hi guys, basically wen I try u pull off the car judders but then as soon as your driving it's ok:/

I've tried pulling of in reverse 1st and 2nd all are the same

The car has been stood for a while... I've been told the clutch plates could be stickin?

Any help would be much appreciated

i had a similar problem as wen i bourght my last v. i put it down to clutch wearing thin. i put a new clutch in and it seemed to solve the problem. was pretty thin wen removed tbh

That or crank seal dude, there may be a little oil getting on the plate

Worth putting a new clutch on, If its an oil seal you'll notice it all round the bottom of the box.

Aye thats a common fault caused by a worn clutch. Id say that or a duff gearbox mount but that would more than likely make a knocking noise also.

i had the same problem with my na, was the clutch now a new one is fitted its solved the problem

I've just recieved the clutch but I'v been told by the previous owner that it has exceedy organic clutch, I spoke to my mechanic and he's told me that theres 500 mile bedding in period on these clutches... Has any 1 heard this before?

There's a bedding in period with any new clutch, just take it steady till it's taken to the shape of your flywheel.

Ok, so could the juddering just be a normal thing then? it just feels like the friction plate isn't touching evenly :/

Just like brake pads, it needs to form to the shape of the flywheel. What was the surface like when you fitted the new clutch?

the old owner had fitted the clutch...i guess ill just drive it for abit and see what happens hopfuly it beds in if not ill just bang the new 1 in

If you do end up fitting the new cluch take a look at the flywheel it might be warped!.

In my experience all organic/ paddle clutches seem to give a bit of judder unless you absolutely launch it, if it's only minor I'd say it's just to do with the clutch mate
