Hey just wondering if this is correct, wanted to see if my spool time was correct today so i put it in 5th gear at 40mph, at 2000 rpm, put my foot to the floor and i didnt get full boost ( 0.8bar) until 4500 revs, is that correct or do i have a boost leak? Cheers!

Sounds a little high for me mate rpm wise put u were in 5th and it is only a 1.3 engine so 40 in 5th might be asking a bit much try 3rd gear or summit n see then but that's just my opinion mate some one else may be able to give u better advice

Okay ive done the test in 4th gear and simular results, put my foot down at 2k RPM and it didnt go full boost till over 4k ,

ive had a quick look at the pipes and tightened some up and it doesnt appear to made a difference,

Had a look at the HKS Actuator and it appears very stiff to move by hand so im not sure if thats causing it?

It might be stiff because it has the pin in it which secures it and stops it from moving.

If there are no vac leaks it could be a problem with the actuator not keeping the wastegate shut long enough.

Blitz Decat

AVC-R Boost Controller

HKS SSVQ

HKS FCD

Fuel Pressure Regualtor

HKS Actuator (0.8Bar)

HKS Silent-Hi Power Zaust

Braided Hoses

Magnecor Leads

3 Pod Guage on dash

Front Mount IC

Relocated Air Filter

it was RR at 165 At the wheels so i dont think its set to 0.5 ... the AVCR Boost controlller says 0.8bar

I had a similar problem once and I had the same issue and it was down to the actuator sticking which didn't allow me full boost till 4k or just over take it off mate give it a clean and see if u can free it up I'm pretty sure Starbo Moorley had a similar issue with a ct9 set up and that was down to actuator I think

Moorley gave me a PM saying : Hi mate, if you disconnect the actuator from the wastegate end (usualy nut and bolted on or has a r clip through it) you should be able too pull it and feel the spring working. i just gave mine a good tugging and that sorted it

Ive pm'd him back as i dont quite understand which bolt to undo - its a hks actautor, im not sure if he ment the bolt on the bracket or what.

Cheers all
