steve-gers
I take it you have removed the clip? I just held it in a vice and gently tapped the exhaust housing with a copper mallet and it came apart.

steve-gers
try putting a big screwdriver or small crowbar or something in the small gap between the 2 housings that you have made and prying them apart but be very careful.
5T4R7ET N/A
have you tried to heat it up a bit? plenty of WD40 will help.some dont come off easy as others so you will need to give it few harsh hits evenly all the way round. hit the exhaust side and keep checking progress as you dont want to damage any blades. rob_bower
I ended up using a lump hammer over a mallet and it took a heft wack to split them just be careful as it gets to the end as not to damage the fins. The circlip was a right fooker to remove without the propper pliers to.
