Twas not a good weekend for the 4efte... May it rest in piece..

For the time that it was driving, i was keeping up easily with a 450hp evo6..

Now i know the ecu was set right, and i know everything such as oil pressure was just dandy... So it leads me to the conclusion that the turbo dynamics hybrid ct9 running at 1.1 bar along with all of my other fuelling and ignition mods couldnt help the internals..

Im now on the scavenge for cash... Im going the forged route.. Saving the cash up and getting it trailored to ses services.. to have a full rebuild in a few months..

Pictures and a nice video to follow shortly of what you DONT want your engine looking/sounding like !

Just talking on msn about it.

Good luck with the rebuild Craig.

Everything was going well besides the internals, you were prepared in everything else tho.

Can't wait to see the starbo back even better mate, when that will be, we will be waiting :p

haha thanks lads.

As i was just telling joz over on msn, everything was set up fine.

I just didnt have a clue what kind of power id be looking at with this pfc fcon.

Ive never seen an e3112 chipped one made for hybrids/larger than ct9 turbos..

So it was all guess work..

Obviously i needed to do the extra work on the internals.. thats what happens though i suppose when you experiment..

I was going to go forged any way sooner or later.. but tbh, not this soon :p

Im just going to save the cash up and give it to the capable hands of rob and dave, im sure you all know there experiance with the starlet.

And at least now, i can make a nice shiny ornament out of the parts that got spat out :D:D

As soon as i drove it, the power curve was insane..

So aggressive when it was on boost, ive been in starbos with power fc's and emanages on hybrid ct9s and i cant say ive felt one that pulled that hard ever.

Im considering going for a larger turbo though..

Sooo if i do, there will be a practically new turbo dynamics built hybrid ct9 for grabs.. Ill keep you all posted though :p

sounded like fun untill it went bang, what kind of power did it have?

How much do you reckon it will cost to get rebuilt?

for all the work and parts im going to have done, im looking around the 2k mark... rough estimate..

while its stripped, i may as well get it prepared for if and when i decide to move on from a ct9 :p

its allright saying that ecks, but the exhaust gas temp was 850 degrees, which is spot on isnt it?!

afratio was spot on too... i lowered the pfc to 1 setting lower than it was previously set on, on the previous v it was fitted too..

All in good time

Ouch sounds sore! :p

Whats the spec of the hybrid to do that damage?

How much would you be wanting for the turbo and did you get it direct from turbo dynamics, or does dave sell them?
