Which VF Turbo?

Looking at getting a VF series turbo, as im pretty sure ive read they are a straight swap for a td04 setup.

Im not looking for much more power than a td04, just less lag and quicker spool.

Anyone able to recommend which series i should go for?

Would be running 1bar.

tbh td04 is lagless as it gets all vf's are bigger i believe, you can get td04 hybrids but they aint cheap........

Tuning Developments are currently testing one theyve made them selves atm but unsure of when/if theyll ever sell anymore, im no turbo god though so dont take what ive said as the bible lol, see if anyone else knows anything

I reckon you should go with a vf series. There are loads to choose from, although they are expensive and harder to source than the td series. Mainly because most of the vf series were made in limited numbers for special edition imprezas.

Also last time i checked browner had a vf30 for sale.

i had a vf28, was very laggy compared to a td04...

I run a vf24 its less laggy than a td04 imo due to being ball bearing. that said i run massive 75.5mm pistons and cams. yourbetter of going for a td04 hybrid or one of the smallest vf's. depending on your setup theres ways to reduce lag. all comes down to what you want from the car and how much you want to spend dude.
