Hesitation beetween 5 To 6 K revs

Recommended Posts

Had this problem for a while now, Car pulls very hard in lower gears and the hesitation is hardly noticeable (Only because i know its there), However say im in 3rd 4th or 5th, the problem is obviously very obvious, Boost doesnt drop, but the car just holds back, then once it hits just over 6k all hells breaks loose and pulls to 8k

Its strange, goes like stink to like 5k, slows down, then goes like mad again

Tryed new plugs, Cleaning my trd leads, new kinglead, cleaned dizzy and rotor arm.

All the above are clean, but im starting to think theres something ignition related somewhere.

Spec is 1bar on ct9, KS Rom ecu, usual supporting mods.

Thanks

No moorley, im starting to think the leads are about fucked. But its all spotlessly clean ignition side. Im thinking the plug gaps may be out, had 3 different sets of plugs in about a month, some new ones which failed as they were the wrong type(Problem seemed to be better until they failed) and 2 sets of hardly used iridiums. none of them gapped mind as i thought they were pregapped.

And how can it be the actuator dude? Boost level doesnt change at all, could it be the wastegate jamming or something you think?

If it was the leads it would missfire same go's with plugs rotor arm!

Also if it was something to do with the gaps on the plugs you would of thort it would be alot worse higher through the rev range as it would blow the spark out so to speak!

Mine dose this at 4k go's mad but thats down to the power band of the engine aswell as the turbo! but 6k is a little to high for it to be going nuts should be abit lower down in the rev range like 4k

Its heard to tell realy you should take me for a spin when ever we see each other again thats if you havent sorted the problem out by then
