Will be easier to just put a engine in it. If your doing the bottom end any who you could do with the engine out. Why not put another engine in the car and rebuild the bottom end one with forged goodies?

Don't necessarily need a new engine, but by the time the bottom end gets rebuilt you might as well just rebuild the whole engine. Then its a question of do I forge it or not? Its never ending lol.

Ive opened a few 4efe uk spec engines and they ALL had 4efte written/cast on the crank. Id say a 4efe block and crank with fte rods and other bolt on parts will be the next thing. I did notice though that the turbo's had a bit more space around where the oil filter goes on but a die grinder would sort that out

Would a 4efe block be the same as a fte ? The oilfilter housing different maybe?

Jus thinking for the future could pick up a 4efe block and forge that rather than buying another fte

To build

Would it work? I'm sure there's some differences in the block few bolt holes etc
