Hawwy
HiAfter welding the male fitments on to rocker cover do i need to useThe push on fitting or the other type fitting where its threaded and a bit covering it?If i use push on fitting then it will be okay to use with any catch can? And if i use other fitting for braided lines then i will have to weld male fittings on catch can too? Is this correct?Cheers
Starbuck
Yes. Push on is your quick way and should be fine. Or jic screw fittings either side of the lines. Or screw type one side and push another (doesn't look as neat imo)
Hawwy
Also am i supposed to use a catch can with breather on top for a race spec rocker or a catch can without a breather
Starbuck
With breather.

Starbuck
Depends on your male fittings. An-6 or An-8Something like this. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=370587194774
Starbuck
Or push on: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=300712639835
Starbuck
I bought these for mine and I was running screw on fittings on my rocker. Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=310350499251

But how about the catch can side
Starbuck
Unscrew it, place cap onto hose, and then push/screw hose onto end and then screw the cap on. yes, you don't have to use braided hose. Aeroquip or similar.
Hawwy
And if you use braided then can just jubilee clip to can?
Hawwy
Also how is the rocker cover baffle plate removed and refitted and its got load of shit in there
Starbuck
U can't unless u drill out the plate clean and then weld back. Lots of compressed air and other oil removal type stuff, down the holes. Best to clean it out fully. Don't want to risk bringing the engine to an early failure. Trust me. Hawwy
Okay as when it gets sandblasted and painted will get full of more stuff
Starbuck
I got mine chem stripped and cleaned. Welded fittings, cleaned again and painted.
Whitegv
Also depends how much boost your gonna be running as if the crank case pressure gets to high it'll not do you any favours. i used an10 on mine to be safe.
pacman
Just make sure the hoses are a snug fit and it'll be fine. If the crank case is pressurised enough to blow off push on hoses, you will have bigger problems to worry about.
Hawwy
If use an10 and run lower boost still itl be fine?
rmsnoel
Just abit of info I noticed elsewhere on the net but the yanks seem to favour piping the breather into the intake system before the filter to help displace moisture instead of it being piped into the manifol as normal. My 1.3 isnt a drag monster so Im happy enough to pump abit of oil around my valves as Mr. Toyota intended but just thought I'd let you guys know
