Idrees
1. Remove inlet manifold bracket if you have one2. Undo 17mm banjo bolt on the right side of the rail to remove the fuel feed3. Remove rubber fuel return hose on the right side of the rail4. Remove small rubber vacuum hose connecting the FPR to the inlet manifold. This is on the left side5. Undo the 2 x 12mm headed bolts holding the fuel rail on. 6. Carefully lift it off. Keep an eye on the black spacers, don't loose them. You may have to slightly tug the injectors to get them off the engine block. Be careful you dont damage or loose the rubber seals. This is all from the top of my head while standing in a queue at the post office so I may have missed something. You can ring me on the number in my sig if you need any help. rmsnoel
Release fuel pressure first!!Just to add to Idrees post, you can undo the banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter, and simply pull off the return pipe to take the whole fuel rail away from the car if you want to work at it like that. And if when pushing the injectors into the new rail you think you might have nipped or damaged it, now is the time to simply change it.Before starting the engine put your key in the igition and turn it to ACC, this pressuries the pump and you can look for fuel leaks. I would wait an hour or so before starting the car, so as spilled fuel clears away and you can sniff about for leaks when you do start it up.@ Idrees do you know the spec of the pink injectors from the jap ep85's by chance? Idrees
Release fuel pressure first!!It will release when opening the 17mm bolt, always works for me (I just open it slowly, should have added that).Just to add to Idrees post, you can undo the banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter, and simply pull off the return pipe to take the whole fuel rail away from the car if you want to work at it like that.It will be easier to remove it from the rail seeing as though he is fitting a new rail. It's easier to open that 17mm banjo bolt when fitted to the engine, instead of sticking the fuel rail in to a vice or something after as that bolt is usually fairly tight.@ Idrees do you know the spec of the pink injectors from the jap ep85's by chance?I'm really not sure tbh mate, sorry dude. I'm sure someone else will confirm though.
