sound deadening/proofing

Im looking at trying to eliminate road noise and engine noise from inside the car. I was just thinking about lining door cards. Recarpeting and door seals etc. Has anyone done or heard of anyone doing this before? Would apreciate any feedback.

I've only heard of this type of thing from people with stripped out rears...

Im sure i saw or read something somewhere about someone getting some modern sound deadening mating and putting it over his rear arches boot and under the rear seats and under the carpet on front and against the bulk head you could also to rear 1/4 panels and in the doors etc. but not sure if that was on here or somewhere else.

Also if your that bothered look into tyre reviews as they usually state road noise on them.

As for door seals i think your stuck, the design of the door allows air to get under the lip and onto the seal. You would need and 2nd seal to reduce any further wind noise imo

Strip it out and listen to the exhaust and road noise haha!

Ill be putting some carpet in the boot and rear area... Not fussed about making a level floor.

yeah, but expect more road noise. if you dont want road noise, keep your seats, if your not bothered. remove the seats

Oh it's louder alright ... Haha I hear every stone that flicks up etc,..wet roads are the worst lol

Havent done anything yet. Just testing the water to see if people have done it. And i did post this in the wrong forum as well so u mite see it more than once (stupid smart fone)
