96 to 98 rear bench

im changing my 96 bench for a 98 spec bench, just a quick question are the fitting brackets the same for both or not? anyone help me on this please

pretty sure they are the same mate. I have a recaro rear bench and this was exactly the same as my 96 bracket wise.

98 spec backs are split so migjt need the extra hinge in the middle of them both, (uk cars are split aswel) the bottom bench on 98's have the 4 metal loops underneath that push into some rectangular plastic lugs. Not sure what system the 96 spec use there though

Yea the recaro bench is a fixed back, the 98 is split so find a uk spec or 98 spec breaking and ask for the brackets id ask for all 3 just incase theres a difference

thanks for the info the 96 spec has the loops aswell so its just the brackets i need

There was a very rear split recaro rear seat too but most you see are fixed. As has been said i'm sure the mounts are there in the shell but you might need the bracket.
