Johnboy GT Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Any 10w-40. Im gonna use Castrol Magnatec to run it in and likely use that or something similar afterwardsJohn Quote
Taggy Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 any cheap mineral oil will do to run it in, then get some 10w 40 fully synthetic in there, again dont worry to much about brand as long as its fully synthetic you will be fine Quote
PhilGT93 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 i've got 5-40 fully in mine from gb lubricants been fine up to now Quote
AdamB Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 5w 40 would be ideal. Millers/Fuchs/mobil. Quote

The Toffinator Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 How is the comma stuff socks? Always rated it but never ran it in my Glanza, Seem like good stuff and where do you get it from? Thanks Quote
starletburkie Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 imo this mineral oil to run in is a load of shit. Quote
smobey_sutton2 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Use cheap oil to run in, as wont contain as many additives that prevent wear, as you want the engine to wear slightly while running in. Quote
The Toffinator Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 @starletburkie, a mineral oil is better to run an engine in, a good fully is too good to run an engine in and doesnt help seat the rings etc and can cause a "slow" engine in the future. Bang mineral in it, run it in quite hard and use the rev range, dont baby a forged lump imo! Quote
