rmsnoel
Is this a later ep85. Would you mind listilng the ecu partnumber. Also that doesnt look to be a jap exhaust manifold. I think the rules are you need a photo of the actual parts
steveep82
That's the down pipe that came with the engine. I'll get a piccie of the ecu part no tomorrow
steveep82
Edit, actually you may be right, did the jdm mani have a cat in it? I can't remember which way around it is now!
Amjad
The 100ps engine have a more tubular mani
steveep82
Yes you are right, my apologies. I sold that mani for the car value
ttestarlet
Still a bargain in my eyes, £250ono for near 25bhp upgrade on a n/a engine! Can't see a manifold with a restrictive cat in it making it anymore power to be honest. Good luck with the sale!
rmsnoel
Plug n play ecu. Edited February 10, 2013 by rmsnoel
steveep82
fair point, ok, its a low milage JDM engine, injectors, inlet mani, an ecu which is plug and play in a uk ep90 (proven and tested on my brothers uk ep90) and uk exhaust manifold. Heres a picture of the ecu
ttestarlet
@rmsnoel I've done this conversion to my 1st sr in 2007/2008 time. A Ecu map on 98 Ron alone would never give them gains on a na engine. Jdm engines are different. Good luck with the sale!
rmsnoel
Ecu is a 94-95 unit which uses same distributor as our uk cars and should be plug and play.Good product best of luck with the sale@tte Im sorry but you are wrong..
Amjad
It's also the inlet and exhaust mani that would make a difference. People use the exhaust mani but don't use the cat part as they have the cat down further in the system
steveep82
This is how it was used on my brothers car. I make manifolds, the uk one isn't restrictive in my opinion, not the best flow velocity wise but I've seen lots worse! There was some really good threads on tggt on ecus and on engine differences but I can't find them now.
