Chrishoughton1989
Hello. I have a 1.3 rad cap with civic rad and when I drive hard for mile or so it pushes water out rad into expansion tank. Sometimes it over flows. What could this be ? Head gasket ? Faulty cap ? But it never overheats. Thank you.
TrisK
That's the point of an expansion tank?As it cools it will draw it back into the rad

Chrishoughton1989
Enough to make the expansion tank overflow ?
pick1
I've seen it happen on a short track session so 10-15 minute spirited driving should pretty much do they same does it loose water , does your temp gauge go rite up ?
Chrishoughton1989
Temps fine. The rad isn't full to the cap it's sort a cm below the top. Is that normal ?
pick1
I wouldn't say that's out of the ordinary mate
