I can get a FMIC brand new with all the joins etc for around £180. If i fitted this to my standard GT what difference will be made?

Not bad money but smaller inter coolers are better for the ct9 like an rx7 topmount.

Slightly more lag, but much lower intake temps than a top mount.

All depends what youre future plans are mate

Obviously, autofixed intercoolers are prob best for ct9

Someone who has a Blitz FMIC said they noticed no additional lag on a stock set up, but that could be a load of rubbish.

Just buy it!!

@ jay that piping on your auto is like a maze, thought you were going to cut it?

*get some fueling mods and a boost controller and turn up the bosst.

Expect a bit more lag depending on the pipework but you shouldn't notice it on the move. It will add a bit of midrange and support future modifications.

I'm running a earlier Blitz one on my stock(ish) auto.

I also run a blitz, however, i don't understand the stupid route it takes. So spent a couple of hours yesturday removing 3 foot of the pipework to make the route shorter.

I've not had chance to try it out yet as it was raining and i'm on cut slicks but i'd imagine theres less lag, even if its just mental lag;)

It also means the pipe doesn't run next to the manifold and heat soak.

I run the earlier Blitz FMIC and there is more lag on the CT9. The piping is the key, £180 is all great if it's decent..if it's shite and the core is crap then it's a waste of money.

The reason I chose the early Blitz is that the piping goes from the turbo, bends over a small part of the cam cover but then exits the engine bay completely through the side walls of the wings, when the fogs are removed the pipe gets cold air aswell as the core.

And for gods sake...LAG THE PIPING :p
