  1. Hello, Sorry for the slow replies i've been really busy as of late. I only checked this thread as i was pointed to it Anyway, whoever has a stock manifold PM me i'l arrange to get it collected. The first manifold will then be made, i'll then show pic's etc. I use simulation software when designing n/a manifolds, and know what works and what doesn't. I'll be honest and say i won't have time to rolling road test the manifold, as I don't have a n/a starlet. I'm confident it will give the biggest gains over the widest possible rev range over the current competition i've seen. If some people
  2. I'm very confident it would be the best manifold out there for the 4e's. As above, it'd have a fairly large powerband and in this range you should see noticable gains over stock. Obviously it would depend on the rest of your car's spec. Obviously you'd ideally need a remap to gain the most from it, as you would any modification.
  3. www.race-tech.co.uk Not much on there at the moment as i've been really busy sorting various things. I could put a date in the for early next month to finalise the design. It would be much easier if somebody has a stock manifold to make a jig from, (will save me a trip to the breakers yard) so i could give a further discount if somebody provides this. I would need a small deposit from everybody wanting a manifold before providing a final price As for design's, i'd make the manifold to bolt upto the stock cat, i'd then make a seperate decat pipe. Or offer a straight through alternative with
  4. Would go well with a turbo on it, you need a trip to my garage
  5. Sadly i don't think a starlet would ever be competive enough as the engine size simply doesn't allow for a big enough turbo, unless of cause you changed the engine. The civic's 1.6 engine isn't big enough either really.
  6. Ye thats deffo ricks old car. Cool car
  7. On some car's (probably not starlets) if you remove the PAS you can cause problems to the UJ and steering column, because they weren't designed to take the higher loads. It's rumoured some manufacturers used to test there engines on an engine dyno with nothing else connected. In honesty i think the manufacturers will be able to accurately predict the output of 1 of there engines without even building it. I'm not sure you'll notice such a massive improvement probably more a mental thing, but in the lower gears it could make a slight difference.
  8. Looks nice, 2 low IMO. How much was the boot and bonnet?
  9. Yes i'l probably do TOTB again. Not sure what car i'l be doing it in yet though
  10. Ye, that'd be cool if you could, it'l be a week or so off yet, as i'm just finalising the design then they need to laser cut them.
  11. Cool, i'm on with making a couple of cossy manifolds at the minute, PF is massive so hoping the word will spread a little I'm just sorting some little tags out for the manifolds so people know what they are.
  12. Looks cool, really like this car, Do you still need them bends? If you do text me your address tomorrow and i'l sort them out Keep forgetting, that'l remind me
  13. Manifold looks pretty smart on the car. Glad it finally turned up and your happy. You drove it yet on the new manifold? Make sure you get it checked over before giving it too much hammer, it's suprising how much difference 1 manifold to another can change things.
  14. Yes, i've just ordered a new turbo and tial 44mm wastegate. Another custom spec turbo, physically the size of a GT35 but with a few nice tweaks inside. Not sure how it will work, but i'm hoping for a powerband of 5-8500rpms, a new cam a different style of headwork and a few tweaks inside the engine will also be made for next year. I'm staying 1.6 sohc though because i've not got the max from this car yet on standard sleeves. Time's the biggy though, FAR 2 busy at the minute, but if it dies down a touch over Xmas i'l having something to do.
  15. No problem, I got the pic of a fabrication site, probably not that much of interest but i'l post all the 1's off there. The car's aim was 600bhp off gas and 200 of gas, the turbo is a GT42r which is good for 1000bhp, so he's either WAY 2 big on the turbo front or making more power than stated, personally I think he should drop to a big GT40 for better results. Here's the other pic's [imghttp://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v329/1/116/1275853705/n1275853705_141085_4577.jpg [imghttp://photos-h.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v329/1/116/1275853705/n1275853705_141087_5226.jpg
  16. Probably been posted, must be the quickest 1. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=A5Ji7C8fqu0
  17. Thats an acceptable way to tune a car on nitrous. But, 2 rich is just as bad as 2 lean IMO. Lean doesn't kill an engine, DET does.
  18. Where did you go to? CO2 readings are old fashioned now and not widely used nowadays, hes probably a bit old/experienced with old machines. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.
  19. I can map these using FC Dataloggit, just north of the midlands.
  20. Thanks for the heads up but i've been well over 300bhp for 10k miles now and only broke 1 shaft. Those shafts look to be in poor condition, but the highlight of the problem is probably something else in the pic... The coilovers. I run 18psi in 225wide R888's on the road and it wheelspins all the way through 3rd gear on a hot dry day.
  21. You can get something like a DTA, Emerald etc for around that kind of cash brand new. However they will require a custom loom like the PFC will unless its starlet specific.
  22. Starbus

    DTA ECU's

I've installed a DTA on a starlet not long back. There good ECU's i'm a dealer for them.
  23. If it's a serious enquiry i'l PM you a breakdown. But just for interest. You'd probably be looking around 250 with 8psi. You could run a reliable 10-11psi with as much as 280 for the same kind of cash, on a basic drive in drive out build.
  24. Your inbox is full, but it's hard to put a figure on it, i make most of the parts and get things at trade price's. Spending nothing on labour and mapping etc. Customers car's start around £1600.
  25. I've just ordered 2 38mm wastegates for it. Twin screamers ftw.
