  1. Here's a little vid of the Civic.
  2. I have the studs and "special" nut's not 2 far away from you (rotherham) if your struggling PM me.
  3. Whereever you want really I'm currently making my own kit to suit a car having a GT28 on it with a drag manifold, i'l take pic's when it's done.
  4. A late reply but i'l give my input anyway. You ideally want a head gasket, head bolts, (i don't think anybody does uprated 1's yet) because you can't really go stud and nut as the lifter's are 2 close to the bolt holes. I'm having some uprated bolts made, so will have a few set's soon. Cambelt and tensioner. Oil Filter. I have a Gen head gasket and bolt set, brand new sat here if anyone requires.
  5. These are far from the thinnest cylinder walls' out there. And the block is iron so you've got less of a worry. I've not heard of a cracked liner, in a starlet, however i seem to be good at testing there strength. I've cracked 1 in a subaru. A Civic, might be my turn to do it on the Starlet now!
  6. It's all i've done in the past on stock turbo's. ;)
  7. Sorry i missread your post. A quick port job will take an hour like i said, it's much better to do for safety. I've seen car's running over 1 bar for years without problems, but it's much safer to take that the precaution.
  8. Ironnically the apexi ignores the knock sensor in terms of retarding the igntion when it registers knock. All it does is makes the management light flash when it's bad knock. Or gives you a readout on the hand controller. The standard ECU/piggyback, will retard the timing via the standard knock sensor.
  9. Tesco fuel often makes best power on the roller's, it's FAR better than esso and close/arguably better than v power.
  10. Why would a restrictive runner on a single cylinder make the car run rich? You know this how? Wideband? Rolling road? Mapping? Or your mates could smell fuel and it black smoked when you change gear? He wants to run 1 bar. It takes an hour to port out the manifold as a safety precaution till he's got enough cash to have 1 made.
  11. You might want to keep 1 seat in there to sit on You'd be better letting the tyres down in stages. 15psi with that much power you might bog down, Remember some slip is optimum.
  12. Awesome time mate, well done. Where about's are you from? Sorry but you didn't do 116 on a standard turbo or with only 180bhp. Unless your car is 500kg's.
  13. Yes, i've removed and refitted stock manifolds without moving the turbo. MUCH easier with the rad off though.
  14. Now then, I'l port you the manifold, we'll be able to max your turbo out without worrying about the 3rd runner.
  15. I also run a blitz, however, i don't understand the stupid route it takes. So spent a couple of hours yesturday removing 3 foot of the pipework to make the route shorter. I've not had chance to try it out yet as it was raining and i'm on cut slicks but i'd imagine theres less lag, even if its just mental lag;) It also means the pipe doesn't run next to the manifold and heat soak.
  16. Surely you've got better things to think about in bed As for coilovers, i'd go for it mate, depending on the road's you drive on and how you drive, but they should be a lot better.
