I've just bought a freshly build forged engine and there is a noise rattle form the cam area, its not bottom end tho, it is very loud when I start it up in the mornings or after work,

when I've let the engine warm up you can heardly hear it, and when your driving you cant hear it what so ever,

any info or idears would be great,

Sounds like valve clearences to me. A couple might be on the big side. But if its ok when warm I wouldn't really worry about it. A tappy tapper is a happy tappet as they say. The only down side is you might be loosing .2 of a mm lift on the valve/s

Would this make it lumpy when driveing, as it also sound and run like a scooby, or would that be plugs ect
