funny onion Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Miles away then haha. There's a meet at Whitby on Sunday you should pop to that people may be able to give you a few ideas. What's the spec etc, which turbo at what boost? Fpr? Have you done a compression test? Quote
hutchy1990 Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Can't make it cars not taxed yet and with the problem I don't fancy driving it.. Cars running standard turbo don't know boost as don't have a gauge at the minute and haven't done a compression test don't know what to do or where to take it Quote
Addymk2 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 How many of the boost lights are popping on on the dash? Could well be a saggy actuator if those are the only symptoms Quote
Addymk2 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Does it make any weird noises during boosting? Hissing or anything? You got an adjustable actuator?Front moun intercooler?Boost controller?(Just to point you in the right direction bud) Quote
hutchy1990 Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 No weird noises that I can hear mate broony off here is going to have a look at the car on Saturday for me which is good of him It's got an adjustable actuator It's got an front mount Intercooler Doesn't have a boost gauge Quote
iamlegend Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 sounds like a boost leak to me... if the lights are not fully green... or the actuator hmmm Quote
Addymk2 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I'd say leak; is the wastegate penny still clipped on? (Mine dropped the pin once) Ah well, sure it will get sorted! Quote
hutchy1990 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 Where's the wastegate penny never heard of it Quote
Addymk2 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 On the end of the actuator (turbo end, not the one with the round bit on) Quote
