starletno1fan
sounds like the 2nd gear synchro mine does that aswell. you'll probs find bits of the teeth in the oil maybe?
scutch0
basically how do we drain the oil out and top it up again? i did my old 4efe once but i cant remember how.i have a strong suspicion its the clutch mate.
Rich
Mine does that aswell, it seems these cars don't like second gear all the others are fine, might just be the synchro as said above.
Guest Enzo
yea its a comon trait of starlet geaboxes, fresh oil is a temprorary fix, ther is a bleed nipple ont he bottom side of the box, undo that to drain the oil awaythen the filler is ont he side of the box, fill it up unitl the oil is level with it and spewing out of the side. Tintin_SR
Synco's probebly away, i nearly bought a Glanza with the same problem. The parts you need are only £30-£40 but you need to strip the box RIGHT down ;) oh so its beter off just geting a new box
