Fitting Apex-i EL Tacho / rev gauge

Got 5 wires on it,

black < earth

red < live or perm live?

orange < live?

green < rev signal

Anyone got one of these beasts....or have an idea how to fit one ;)

im pretty sure orange is normally illumination on these??

i would suggest

red constant live ie, battery (constant power to remember settings when the cars switched off)

orange, something that only comes on with the ignition switch. ( as scutch said for the ilumination)

black, earth as you know!

green, which is the one that picks up the revs need to go to the ignition negative (a shortcut to the ig- can be found in the diagnostics box in the top right and corner of the engine bay)

ps you said it has 5 wires and listed 4!

DOH!

Yup 4 wires only, it has 2 more terminated in a plug...guessing that's the optional shift light ;)
