I'm new to this site and this is my first turbo Jap car so go easy on me.

Right basically I have a strange squeaking noise thats as best I can describe it it's not constant and it only occurs when the engine is cold and when you accelerate enough for boost to build the harder you accelerated the louder it gets, like I said its not constant it sounds like something rotating as the noise has the same amount of gap between it but when it's warm there is no problem at all.

My thinking is oil feed to the turbo when its warmed up the oil is thinner lubing it better but I could be way off any one had this problem before?

I agree with morgey Id start by checking the belts then maybe your brakes as the shims can cause a squeek if they are touching the disc.

Very much doubt its your turbo as if it was making a squeeking noise it would have died a while ago lol.

Right I have checked over the car and the aux belt is fine it's definitely not that the squeaking noise is coming from the air filter believe it or not I have tried to take a quick video to see if someone can help identify the problem, the volume needs to be turned all the way up. It only make this noise until the engine is completely warm then it's fine

same here only makes the noise as the turbo starts to spool then is fine. I have taken the tb off for inspection and found nothing but very light shaft play. I'm not worried about it as performance has not been affected, just a quite annoying screech.
