mikey4410 Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 been trying to undo the alternator pulley bolt at the end of the crank and it wont budge,tryed it with the car in gear and my mate pressing the brakes and theres still a play/movement there and wont undo with a big breaker bar can anybody confirm its normal way to undo the thread please we are going to try a snap on impact gun tonight,hopefully that will do it ? AdamB Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) Impact gun should get it off mate, they are normally pretty well on there, sometimes you may find that even once the bolt is removed the pulley still won't budge, this is when a puller comes in handy. mikey4410 Posted August 3, 2013 Author Share Posted August 3, 2013 It finally undid it,it took 3 lots of 25 secs blasts.it was on there really well.was beginning to think it wasnt ever gonna come of.Then the next thing i was worried of was the pulley not gonna come of,it fell of with no trouble.result.Thanks for replys.......
