Calling south west ukso members

Basically I'm after a favour,

My coilovers arrived today and I decided to start at the rear because they are the worst however that's where the problem is....... The shock nuts won't fucking come off no matter how hard I try

Has anyone in the south west ( weston Bristol or Taunton ) got a workshop or air gun set up that could help out?

I contacted my local garage and they wanted wait for it £45 a side so £90 all in for replacing two shocks !

Breaker bar with a scaffold tube on it aswell should get them off or snap them off loads of wd-40 aswell

Breaker bar I've got, I manged to get the top one off just, but working outside my garage I couldn't get enough room to lever the bottom nut

I'm in Bristol and I used brute force and ignorance on them lol. Where about a are you? Pm me

I'm in sunny weston super mare like I said above I think without an ramp or air gun getting leverage on that bottom nut is next to none

If you unbolt the tops of the struts the whole beam drops the near side is easier its the offside that's the problem cuz of the exhaust etc but I used a breaker bar on mine it was hard but did work

Think I'm going to have to remove rear bumper and stick it on two axle stands and drop the beam :-/ just a bloody nightmare I've installed the fronts and levelled it to the same hight as the rears for the moment

Yh it can be a pain to do mate just use loads of wd40 brute force and ignorance

Get a decent ratchet and a scissor jack, push ratchet onto bolt so pushin it up will loosen the nut and start winding that scissor. Alternatively if you can't find a place to push up to get it off put the jack on the bottom of the car so it's upside down and try again. I've got loads of shit off like that lol
