patman
I hve read it Adam mate I suppose I have never heard of anyone doing it like that before
AdamB
The reason why is to maintain clean and fresh oil, with a newly built engine theres going to be a lot of metal swarf flying around that you don't want to get into particular areas like bearing shells or turbos etc which will cause damage.Changing it often reduces the chances of any damage occuring
patman
That's a very true point there mate that I shall be doing just alittle paranoid with the don't be a pussy with the engine bit 👍

iamlegend
basically the best thing to do for a fresh rebuild is redline it in every gear for about 5000 miles...
