best way to clean inside intercooler core

Hi all had a intercooler sat in garage for a while all ends blocked but want to clean the inside just to make sure theres no crap in it or spiders before fitting to car.

Can anyone recommend a good way to check or clean it.

Yeah petrols best idea, petrol breaks things down so will remove gunk and won't damage anything.
