Front bumper modification

Hi im looking to post a little progress blog on modding my front bumper. I would like to cut the front out by the numberplate to show the front mount off more. im sure you all know what im on about im looking for the best and neatest way to do it? take the bumper off? leave it on?

Hope you can give me some nice ideas and help me out. pictures will be uploaded.

Take the bumper off to do it. It's easy to cut the plastic, a hacksaw and dremel to get into the tight areas and for smoothing after will help. Ideally you would want to fill the slots which are left too, then paint over.
