mikey4410 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 (edited) heya guys, recently my car has been playing up in respect to the heater cold/hot and also my temp guage goes up and down . this happens randomly, when the cars warm ,one minute the heater will work, then after a while it blows cold even though cars been running for 30 mins. also the temp guage fluctuates between halfway and top of gauge and before its never done this. started happening 3 days ago. i am thinking its the thermostat as this is surely the only thing connecting these two problems ? AdamB Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Yeah I would try the stat mate, and while your at it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to flush the matrix either. Quote
mikey4410 Posted October 17, 2013 Author Posted October 17, 2013 Its really weird its happened suddenly, havent touched the car rad system or anything else for 2 months and its happened randomly.Anybody else had this on the starlet or any other car .? Quote
Chris_GlanzaV98 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 could be a sticky/faulty thermostat mate take it out and see if it moves freely without sticking shouldnt be too hard to move while its out may aswell change it i suppose at least i eliminates one problem if it doesnt actually fix it Quote
