How loud are straight through exhausts on a turbo?

I find my Blitz nur spec too loud. let alone a straight though lol.

The screamer is effectively a completely open pipe from the cylinder head when the EWG opens, so no turbo to muffle the noise, of course you can route the screamer into the exhaust to quieten it down.

Sorry I should have been clearer, I know why a screamer is loud. I was referring more to what Matt said about his exhaust being louder after going EWG (before boost kicks in)
