Hello everyone

Before I ask I have tryed to do research on this but still baffled,

I'm getting alittle, not alot of smoke when on boost, now the engine was built fully just before I brought it

Straight away I thought turbo oil seals or valve stem oil seals, spoke to pervious owner he has said these were replaced etc etc, I'm losing or think I'm burning more oil then I should be, probably 1 litre every 600 miles roughly surely this isn't right? No oil leaks anywhere either so if its not the turbo oil seals or stem oil seals and whole engine is like new everything changed and no leaks etc,

Anyone got any tips please what else to check?

Thankyou Pat

oil being burnt , More then likely turbo seals, easy way to tell remove the decat or cat and see if any oil is there if so turbo seals it is

thanks for the reply guys really apprericate it, Yes Daniel still has a PVC valve on the rocker cover, got an oil catch can to go on, if this will help? or best solution around it.........

Jamie I see what your getting at maybe I should check to be on the safe side even though the person before me SAID the turbo seals had been done, I do have a decat to go on as its still got the cat on it but looking underneath the car what the person has done before me, is weld the bottom of the cat bit to the next part of the exhaust and chopped the end bits off so it just looks like a straight through thing hope this makes sense :-)

I wouldn't take what the previous owner said to be 100%. Surely if he replaced turbo oil seals the turbo would've been rebuilt and come with receipts? Probably same with valve stem oil seals bud.

Hello Ryan thanks for the reply mate yeah your right there, I have the receipts for the whole engine rebuild but not the turbo, so I'm gonna check the turbo seals first, next week the cars coming off the road for a week so myself and my good friend who specialises in jap cars can have a good look, but got a good few parts to put on aswell so might aswell check things while we are at it :)

Yeah might aswell give it the once over for peace of mind mate :) its not a big deal if its turbo seals anyway, you can pick up a decent ct9 replacement for about 50 or 60 quid on here anyway. If your even running standard turbo that is!

I'll have a CT9 for sale either just before or just after Christmas. Covered 84,000 Kilometres, roighly 45-50k miles. Still will raise slightly. Had the cat of recently and there is no shaft play and the wastegate isn't cracked. So I'd want around £80 for it posted.
